HOW TO FIND US

We are ideally located to explore the South West of England with it's patchwork quilt landscape of small fields set in gently rolling countryside, picture postcard villages, secluded beaches and the dramatic Atlantic coastline. The Hoops is within easy driving distance of Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, the North Cornwall coast and the cities of Plymouth and Exeter.

Close at hand there are hidden coves and small bays to discover, the picturesque and historic towns of Bideford and Barnstaple to visit, the golden sandy beaches of Westward Ho!, Instow and Croyde to relax upon and of course the unique experience that is Clovelly.

By Car
From London take the M4 or A303 to the Westcountry and join the M5 at Bristol or Taunton (from the Midlands follow the M5). Leave the M5 at junction 27 (Tiverton) then follow the directions for Barnstaple on the North Devon Link Road (A3 61).Bypass Barnstaple and continue on the A39 heading towards Bideford & Bude. Avoid Bideford town centre by continuing on the A39. Shortly after passing through Horns Cross The Hoops can be found nestling in a dip on the A39 before the turning for Clovelly. There is a large car park for guests at the rear of the Hotel.

By Train
The nearest train station is at Barnstaple. From Barnstaple there is a service to Exeter St. Davids and the mainline rail network to London, the Midlands and the North.

By Air
The nearest airports are at Exeter and Bristol.
