Shooting Parties, Shooting Dinners & Shooting Lunches

The Hoops Inn has hosted shooting parties for many years with North Devon being recognized as a major UK game bird shooting county. Noted for Pheasant and Partridge shoots, along with Snipe, Woodcock, Duck and Geese, the area also has specialized stalker organizing Deer Hunting.

Whilst The Hoops Inn, does not involve itself directly in organizing or managing shoots, we do welcome all Shooters and Shoot Parties and we have done so far since the 1950s. We are conveniently centered for the majority of North Devon Shoot Venues, we are easy to locate on the A39, between Bideford and Clovelly, with a large (50+) secure car park.

The Hoops Inn is renowned for its Food, has a prestigious AA Rosette for its Restaurant Menu and a good local following for its excellent Bar Food. Local Real Ales, a varied Wine list and a good offering of Vintage Ports, completes a rounded package. We have 2 separate Private Dining Areas, the first will accommodate up to 10 persons and second up to 18 persons, both offer superb service and ambience.

The Hoops Inn can also offer Shoot Lunches tailored in terms of quality and price to our customers exacting requirements.

"Beautiful place, great food, great beer and lovely staff. what more could you want for a weekend retreat. nice comfortable bed, spacious, clean and warm. The bathroom was modern and immaculate. TV, tea / coffee making facilities, bottled water and bathroom robes were very nice touches
The food choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner was superb and very varied, something for everyone.
If you like real ale the "Hoops Best" at 4.8 abv & £3-40 a pint is what it says, the best, but each pint slides down the throat far to easily so beware!!!
Would not hesitate to go back again and again and again.
Centrally located for all local attractions and nearby towns and the scenery around this area is breathtaking.
Give it a go i am sure you will not be disappointed. good discounted rates during their quieter period (jan & feb) so we have been told but please double check this with them 1st " Nov 2012
